Psychologist Jobs in India at Antaha

Title: Psychologist

Company: Antaha

Location: India

Co-Facilitator — Experiential Depth Work & Inner Stillness

For counselling psychologists looking for a wider container

Antahā · Based in Italy / Europe · Project-based · Travel required. Remote only when not traveling

About This Role

This is not therapy or counselling in a new setting. It is not wellness rebranded for the credentialed.

This is for a compassionate soul who studied psychology, who have been doing meaningful one-on-one work for several years and has started to feel that the room itself — the fifty-minute hour, the individual frame, the talk-based container — only goes so far. You have likely noticed that some of what people walk in with cannot quite be reached by conversation alone, and that something in the field between two people, when both are genuinely present, often does more than any intervention you were trained in.

If that has been sitting with you, read on.

About Antahā

Antahā is a global movement rooted in inner stillness, silence, and authentic human connection. Founded by Sitender Sehrawat — a teacher with monastic living in the Himalayas — Antahā brings immersive experiential events to cities around the world, guiding people into a direct encounter with their own inner depth.

The work is not technique-based. People shift because something they had been carrying for years is met and released — not because we add a tool to their life. We do not add. We remove.

We are on a 100-city global tour, with launches in Los Angeles and Auckland already complete and the European leg opening this summer.

Why a Counselling Psychologist

Sitender’s teaching rests on one recognition: stillness is not something to be achieved. It is what we already are. The elements of our existence are raw consciousness expressing as creation. The work is not to add anything — it is to remove the layers of illusion, ignorance, and unawareness that obscure what is already there.

That recognition can arrive in a flash, or it can take time. Some participants meet it during an event itself; for others it settles in afterwards, slowly.

The path to clarity, peace, and calm runs through these experiences of inner stillness. Recognition is one part. Living from it is another — and most people need time and steady support to carry what they have touched into ordinary daily life.

That is where the counselling psychologist’s role begins. The events open the field. The integration that follows is human, slow, and personal — supported, person by person, by someone trained to be present with another as they make the recognition their own.

What we are offering is a wider container for that skill — group settings, longer arcs, experiential modalities, and a frame that includes the contemplative dimensions of experience that counselling training often gestures toward without fully entering.

You will not be doing counselling at these events. You will be holding space, co-facilitating, and supporting participants through experiences that often surface real material. Your training in how to sit with people will matter every minute.

What You Will Do

Holding the Room

• Co-facilitate group experiences alongside Sitender — meditation, sound journeys, conscious movement, breathwork, integration circles

• Hold space across the full arc of each event

• Be a grounded, attuned presence in the room — someone participants can settle near in moments of opening or release

• Notice what your training has taught you to notice, and respond with steadiness

Integration & Aftercare

• Lead integration conversations after sessions

• Help participants make sense of what came up, in their own language

• Identify those who would benefit from extended one-on-one work with Sitender, and those who need ongoing professional support of their own

Event Preparation

• Collaborate with Sitender on the design and flow of each event

• Help prepare the physical space — environment, atmosphere, sound

• Brief venue staff and supporting team

Participant Relationships

• Build genuine relationships with participants before, during, and after events

• Be the first point of human contact for questions or follow-up

• Carry Antahā’s tone in every interaction — warm, present, discreet

Travel

• Travel across Europe for events — Italy, Spain, Greece, and other cities — with travel and accommodation covered

Who You Are

Essential

• A trained counselling psychologist with several years of practice behind you

• Someone who has been honest with themselves about the limits of one-on-one talk work and is curious about working in a wider field

• A genuine personal practice in at least one contemplative, somatic, or experiential modality — meditation, breathwork, somatic work, sound, conscious movement, or a related lineage

• Based in Italy or elsewhere in Europe, with willingness to travel

• Fluent in English

• Comfortable in premium environments; able to hold yourself with quiet ease

• Steady, attentive, and emotionally present

• Discreet — much of this work involves people whose privacy matters to them

Preferred

• Interest or background in humanistic, existential, transpersonal, or integrative approaches

• Experience working with high-functioning people whose difficulties are not always visible

• Familiarity with non-Western contemplative traditions — Vedic, Buddhist, Shaiva, Sufi — as lived inquiry rather than academic interest

Who This Role Is Not For

• Someone looking to add another modality to an existing private practice

• Someone hoping to build a personal wellness brand

• Someone whose relationship to inner work is intellectual rather than lived

• Someone who needs the formal counselling frame to feel grounded in their work

Personal Qualities

• A natural ability to make people feel comfortable from the moment they arrive

• Quiet steadiness; you do not need to perform

• A real interest in growing through this work — personally as much as professionally

• Humility about your training: useful, but not the whole picture

• The capacity to hold what is meaningful with the same care you have held what is professional

What You Receive

• Fix compensation, perks along with travel

• Travel and accommodation covered for all engagements

• Direct mentorship from and collaboration with Sitender — exposure to a tradition of work outside conventional Western frameworks

• Access to all Antahā events and sessions as a participant; your own continued practice is part of the role

• The opportunity to grow with a global movement — the role will expand as the work does

• A genuine community of people doing patient, lasting work

The Bigger Picture

There is a real gap right now between what most people are walking into counselling rooms with — loneliness, disorientation, low-grade dread — and what the standard frameworks were built to address. The need for depth, slowness, and genuine human presence is increasing, and the conventional models are not quite meeting it.

What we are doing is not a replacement for that work. It is an attempt to widen the container for it.

If that resonates, get in touch.
