Position
- Indigenous Grad Coach
Required Teaching Qualifications
- A valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- A valid Certification of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Intermediate Qualifications
Position Criteria
- Knowledge of Indigenous traditional teachings, cultures, perspectives, values, and history, and a connection to Indigenous community
- Awareness of local Indigenous community resources and ability to connect students and families to these resources
- Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents
- Demonstrated experience with Apple based software and Mobile devices (iPad/MacBook/iMac)
- Evidence of understanding of varied learners with a focus on ‘at-risk’ students
- Evidence of supporting Literacy and Numeracy from a whole school perspective
- Evidence of integration of technology for the documentation and evaluation of student work
- Ability to work as part of a school team and to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated ability to utilize EDSBY to support student learning and guardian communication
