Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom culture that promotes academic and social-emotional growth.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments and provide meaningful feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to support students with varying learning styles and abilities.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic goals.
- Collaborate with administrators and fellow educators to enhance curriculum and instructional practices.
- Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and grading documentation.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development activities.
- Uphold school policies and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a K-8 Self-Contained Endorsement
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging, learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Experience integrating educational technology into daily instruction (Google Classroom, SMART Boards, educational apps, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and student success.
