As a Summer Student Placement Specialist, you will connect students aged 15-30 with employment opportunities, focusing on overcoming barriers to employment. Your goal is to support at least 100 students in securing paid positions or volunteer roles. This position emphasizes outreach through schools and community partners to maximize student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement youth engagement strategies in local schools
• Connect on social media to promote job services
• Coordinate job search workshops for participants
• Market services to employers and organize hiring events
• Maintain records in the Summer Student Tracker
Requirements:
• Aged 15-30 years and eligible under Canada Summer Jobs
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Comfortable delivering presentations and outreach
• Clear criminal record check required
