We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Social Science (SST) Teacher to teach students of Classes 9 and 10. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise in History, Geography, Political Science (Civics), and Economics, along with excellent classroom management and communication skills. The teacher should be committed to delivering engaging lessons, preparing students for board examinations, and fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
Teach Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics) to Classes 9 and 10 as per the CBSE curriculum.
Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives and learning outcomes.
Deliver engaging, interactive, and student-centric classroom sessions using modern teaching methodologies.
Conduct regular assessments, assignments, quizzes, and periodic tests.
Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations through revision plans, mock tests, and doubt-solving sessions.
Evaluate answer sheets and provide timely feedback to improve student performance.
Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
Integrate technology and digital tools into classroom teaching.
Track students' academic progress and provide remedial support where required.
Participate in PTMs, staff meetings, school events, and co-curricular activities.
Maintain academic records, attendance, and student progress reports.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic coordinators to improve teaching practices.
Qualifications
[Bachelor's or Master's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or Social Sciences.
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is mandatory.
CTET/TET qualification will be an added advantage.
2–5 years of teaching experience in Classes 9 & 10 (CBSE preferred).
