Company Description Beacon College International (BCI) is an accredited Cambridge International School operating across two purpose-built campuses that support learners from nine months to eighteen years of age. The Regina Campus provides a nurturing environment for creche through Class 4, focused on early learning and foundational development. The Emmanuel Campus, located a short walk away, offers modern learning spaces for Class 5 through Upper Sixth, supporting upper secondary and advanced level programs. Role Description The Teaching Professional will deliver high-quality instruction aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and BCI’s holistic educational philosophy. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing timely feedback to learners and families. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, contributing to curriculum development, participating in school events and extracurricular activities, and supporting the pastoral and social-emotional development of students. The Teaching Professional is expected to create an inclusive classroom environment, manage behavior positively, and communicate effectively with parents and guardians. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Beacon College International in Tema.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in classroom teaching, lesson planning, and student assessment within a structured curriculum framework (Cambridge experience is an advantage).
- Strong skills in classroom management, student engagement, and fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment for diverse learners.
- Ability to integrate educational technology into teaching, use digital tools for instructional delivery, and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including effective collaboration with colleagues, families, and the wider school community.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a relevant subject area; recognized teaching certification or qualification is strongly preferred.
- Experience working with early years, primary, or secondary learners (experience across multiple age groups is an advantage).
- Commitment to holistic education, student well-being, and ongoing professional development.
- Ability to work on-site in Tema and participate fully in school activities, meetings, and extracurricular programs.
