Major Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be a positive role model by maintaining and modeling an active relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Teach all subjects from a Biblical worldview.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, with written evidence of preparation.
  • Prepare lessons that reflect diverse student learning styles.
  • Use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that meet the needs of assigned students.
  • Collaborate with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
  • Use technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
  • Create a classroom environment conducive to students’ physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Handbook.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with parents, students, and colleagues.
  • Present information clearly and accurately using effective communication skills.
  • Participate in staff development and professional growth opportunities.
  • Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees as required.
  • Perform additional duties as needed throughout the school day.

Qualifications

  • Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid teaching certification with required endorsements or training.
  • Demonstrated competency in the assigned academic subject area.
  • Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of subject area, curriculum, and instruction.
  • Ability to instruct students and manage classroom behavior effectively.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
