Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Be a positive role model by maintaining and modeling an active relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Teach all subjects from a Biblical worldview.
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, with written evidence of preparation.
- Prepare lessons that reflect diverse student learning styles.
- Use instructional strategies, activities, materials, and equipment that meet the needs of assigned students.
- Collaborate with staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
- Use technology to enhance the teaching and learning process.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to students’ physical, social, and emotional development.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Handbook.
- Maintain open and professional communication with parents, students, and colleagues.
- Present information clearly and accurately using effective communication skills.
- Participate in staff development and professional growth opportunities.
- Attend faculty meetings and serve on committees as required.
- Perform additional duties as needed throughout the school day.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Valid teaching certification with required endorsements or training.
- Demonstrated competency in the assigned academic subject area.
- Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of subject area, curriculum, and instruction.
- Ability to instruct students and manage classroom behavior effectively.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
