Title: Senior Academic Coach, gt.school – $150,000/year USD

Company: Crossover

Location: Travis County, TX

You understand firsthand what gifted learners can achieve — you were one yourself. If you've watched that promise erode under low expectations and standardized instruction, consider this path.

At gt.school, your group of 15–20 K–12 students progresses through material 5–10x faster than conventional classrooms permit. Your role is to continuously raise their ceiling: facilitating one-hour life skills sessions covering public speaking, focus, and feedback, and conducting personalized motivation meetings guided by Coachbot analytics that link each learner's objectives to concrete app progress. You'll witness students who initially struggled with articulation complete the Test2Pass and emerge confident presenting before any audience. Your own academic credentials inform every interaction. No pre-written scripts exist.

This differs fundamentally from traditional teaching. No papers to grade, no classroom discipline, no watered-down curriculum aimed at the middle. Coaches who establish strong performance records here — sustained student satisfaction, 100% goal-completion rates, documented skill proficiency — become eligible for leadership positions, guiding a small coaching team while continuing to manage their own cohort.

Apply now if you're prepared to hold gifted learners to the standard they're capable of meeting.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour life skills sessions on public speaking, focus, and feedback for a group of 15–20 K–12 learners, drawing on gt.school's curriculum and your own academic background
  • Conducting personalized motivation meetings, leveraging Coachbot analytics to monitor each student's progress in learning applications relative to their objectives
  • Overseeing mastery-based Test2Pass evaluations to validate student skill acquisition
  • Adjusting your approach dynamically through storytelling, credibility earned from your background, and AI-driven personalized instruction to maintain challenge and engagement for advanced learners
  • Monitoring performance against 100% goal-completion and 95% student satisfaction targets

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Running a conventional classroom — all students here have chosen to participate
  • Grading assignments, producing report cards, or managing the paperwork burden of traditional teaching
  • Preparing students for standardized tests or externally mandated assessments
  • Simplifying material — learners here can handle the full complexity of your knowledge
  • Engaging with unmotivated or standard-pace students
