Role Description The Geography Teacher will deliver engaging and well-structured geography lessons to senior high school students, using diverse teaching methods to support different learning styles. Responsibilities include designing lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The teacher will contribute to curriculum development, integrate global and local geographic perspectives, and promote critical thinking about environmental and socio-economic issues. Additional duties include participating in school events, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Samarinda.
Qualifications
- Possess qualifications as a Qualified Teacher with a background in Education.
- Demonstrated expertise in Geography and its application to real-world and local contexts.
- Strong Teaching skills, including classroom management and learner-centered instruction.
- Ability in Lesson Planning, curriculum alignment, and assessment design.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Geography, Education, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Indonesian, with the ability to use English in an academic setting.
- Commitment to character education, ethical values, and inclusive teaching practices.
- Good communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills when working with students, families, and colleagues.
