About The Role And School
We are seeking a SEN Teacher to join a highly regarded specialist school in Waltham Forest from September. This SEN Teacher role offers flexibility across a range of year groups and pathways, making it an excellent opportunity for a teacher with experience supporting pupils with Autism, complex learning difficulties and additional communication needs.
The successful SEN Teacher will join a welcoming and collaborative team where personalised learning, pupil wellbeing and inclusion are at the heart of everything they do. As a SEN Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil's EHCP outcomes while working closely with experienced support staff and therapists.
This SEN Teacher position is ideal for a passionate practitioner looking to further develop their specialist SEN teaching skills within a well-resourced school that invests heavily in staff development and professional learning.
As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in helping pupils develop academically, socially and emotionally while creating a positive and engaging learning environment where every child can succeed.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and differentiated learning as a SEN Teacher
Plan lessons linked to individual EHCP outcomes
Support pupils with Autism and a range of additional needs
Work collaboratively with therapists and teaching assistants
Monitor progress and contribute to annual reviews
Promote independence, confidence and pupil wellbeing
Qualifications/Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous SEN teaching experience desirable
- Strong understanding of Autism and inclusive teaching
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
- Right to work in the UK
