Role Description The Robotic Instructor role at KEATS is a full-time, on-site position based in Islamabad. The instructor will design and deliver engaging robotics and STEM lessons, guiding students through building, programming, and testing robotic projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, setting up and maintaining equipment, demonstrating concepts, and supporting learners as they tackle hands-on activities and real-world challenges. The instructor will monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and foster a collaborative classroom environment that promotes curiosity, problem solving, and confidence. Additional duties may include developing new curriculum materials, coordinating with colleagues and parents, and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning space.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in robotics and related technologies, with practical experience in building and troubleshooting robotic systems.
  • Programming skills applicable to educational robotics platforms and STEM projects (e.g., block-based coding or text-based languages).
  • Background in STEM education or relevant fields, with the ability to explain scientific and technical concepts clearly and accessibly.
  • Communication and training skills to lead classes, conduct workshops, and support learners with varying levels of experience.
  • Experience working with children or youth in an instructional or mentoring capacity, preferably in a classroom or lab setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Computer Science, Education, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Ability to create inclusive, gender-neutral learning environments that encourage participation, collaboration, and respect.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability in managing schedules and materials, and a proactive approach to safety and classroom management.
