What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
- Creating individualized motivational frameworks using gamified literacy benchmarks
- Reviewing student performance metrics to refine teaching methods and identify actionable trends
- Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI-driven literacy platforms informed by classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-integrated curriculum materials that support early elementary learners in reaching grade-level reading standards
Basic Requirements
Reading Specialist key responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree plus specialized certification in reading pedagogy (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or comparable program)
- Minimum 2 years facilitating small-group reading interventions with early elementary populations
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate reading proficiency, form instructional groups, and create differentiated lesson plans independent of packaged curricula
- Experience using AI-based or adaptive learning platforms and interpreting student behavioral data
- Valid work authorization for Puerto Rico; sponsorship not available
- Availability to work on-site at our Dorado, Puerto Rico location

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
