Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and foundational math skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans, physical education activities, and sensory play to support holistic growth.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, snack times, nap schedules, and daily activities to ensure a smooth learning experience.
- Use effective communication skills to collaborate with parents and guardians on children’s progress and behavioral strategies.
- Incorporate education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain detailed records of student development, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor progress and inform instruction.
Qualifications
- Prior classroom experience working with preschool or toddler-aged children in daycare or private school settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early childhood education standards.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies tailored for young learners.
- Experience and/or knowledge of the Step Up to Quality Program.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification or coursework in early childhood education.

Pay: $13.45 – $16.00 per hour
