Company Description Little Einsteins Montessori & Daycare is a well-established preschool and daycare center in Pelawatta, Battaramulla, providing early childhood education and care for young children. The center follows a child-centered, Montessori-inspired approach that promotes independence, creativity, social skills, and early academic development in a nurturing environment. Located at No. 969, School Lane, Pelawatta, it offers structured learning programs for preschool children along with full-day childcare services. The center operates on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., supporting families who need consistent, high-quality care and education. Educators work closely with children and families to create a supportive, inclusive, and engaging learning community.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Preschool Teacher role based in the Colombo District. The Preschool Teacher will design and facilitate appropriate learning experiences that support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
Daily responsibilities : Planning and delivering preschool lessons, preparing learning materials, organizing classroom activities, and supervising children during both instructional and playtime periods. Additional tasks include ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom environment, collaborating with colleagues and administrators, and participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Qualifications :
- Strong foundation in Early Childhood Education, including knowledge of child development and appropriate teaching practices.
- Experience with Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development for preschool or kindergarten-level children.
- Ability to teach and support Kindergarten readiness skills in alignment with the school’s learning objectives.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori education or NVQ Level 4 Qualification.
- Prior experience working in a preschool, Montessori, or daycare setting is highly beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom, support diverse learning needs, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
