Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Secondary Science Teacher role located at the Singapore International School campus in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The role involves planning, preparing, and delivering science lessons for secondary school students, with a focus on engaging teaching methods and fostering critical thinking. Additional responsibilities include assessing student progress, developing curriculum materials, maintaining effective communication with students and parents, and contributing to extracurricular and school activities. Collaboration with colleagues and a commitment to the school's mission and values are essential elements of this position.
Qualifications
- Certified or Qualified Teacher status with formal training in education.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Experience in classroom management and using innovative teaching methods to engage students.
- Strong organizational and planning skills to manage curricula and activities.
- Familiarity with international education systems, especially Cambridge IGCSE or similar curricula, is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in Education, Science Education, or a related field is required
- Experience teaching in an international or multicultural environment is preferred.
