Job description
Position: Part-Time English Tutor On-Site
We are URGENTLY looking for dedicated and dynamic English/Afrikaans tutors who know English languages for on-site lessons to start immediately. You must have at least 80% or above for matric English/Afrikaans and/or have a history of tutoring high school English if you only did these subjects at a tertiary level. The ideal candidate should be available on weekdays and have a strong passion for tutoring and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Providing engaging and effective lessons
- Helping students understand key concepts and topics
- Reinforcing course material to ensure mastery
- Offering feedback and guidance on assignments and homework
- Encouraging students to develop strong study habits and skills
- Evaluating student progress and providing regular reports
Requirements:
- Matriculation with a distinction in English or a related field
- Currently enrolled or have completed a related degree program at a reputable tertiary institution.
- Be based in and around Centurion
- Reliable internet connection, whiteboard (electronic or physical), laptop, tablet/iPad, and/or any tools required to conduct interactive online lessons too.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of English curriculum and concepts at the High school/Primary school level.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Passion for teaching and making a positive impact on students' academic success
