Essential qualifications include post-secondary education in recreation or education along with extensive camp leadership experience. Responsibilities involve hiring staff, overseeing budgets, and providing training while maintaining YMCA’s core values of honesty and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee year-round operations at Camp Chief Hector
• Hire, train, and manage seasonal staff performance
• Manage camp budget and inventory purchases
• Design high-quality program options and materials
• Provide leadership to the camp counsellor training program
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in a related field
• Significant camp leadership experience required
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
• Class 4 or 5 Alberta driver’s licence
• Clear Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
