Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, skilled, and student-focused English Teacher to join our Middle School faculty. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop strong language, communication, literary analysis, and creative expression skills while fostering a lifelong appreciation for literature and language.
The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous English lessons aligned with the ICSE curriculum, creating a positive learning environment, and supporting students' academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons in accordance with the ICSE curriculum.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
- Prepare annual plans, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials aligned with curriculum objectives.
- Design engaging learning experiences that promote language proficiency and literary appreciation.
- Contribute to curriculum review and enhancement initiatives.
- Conduct formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress.
- Assess assignments, projects, presentations, and examinations in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate academic records and student performance data.
- Organize and support literary activities such as debates, elocution competitions, creative writing workshops, theatre productions, and book clubs.
- Participate in school events, assemblies, cultural programmes, and academic initiatives.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's/ Master's Degree in English Literature, English Language, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Middle School English.
- Strong knowledge of English grammar, literature, language skills, and ICSE curriculum requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
