Role Description The Lecturer, Pharmacy Practice is a full-time, on-site teaching role based in the Abbottabad District. The position involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in pharmacy practice, as well as preparing lesson plans, course materials, and assessments aligned with institutional standards and regulatory requirements. The lecturer will guide and mentor students, supervise projects or clinical placements where applicable, and support learning through regular feedback and academic advising. Responsibilities also include participating in curriculum development, contributing to departmental meetings, engaging in scholarly or professional development activities, and adhering to quality assurance processes. The lecturer is expected to collaborate with colleagues across Pharmacy and related departments to strengthen teaching, assessment, and student support.
Qualifications
- Advanced academic preparation in Pharmacy (preferably a Doctor of Pharmacy or Master’s degree in Pharmacy Practice or a closely related field).
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy practice, clinical pharmacy, pharmacotherapy, and relevant regulatory and ethical standards.
- Experience or strong potential in teaching at the tertiary level, including lesson planning, classroom instruction, and student assessment.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse learners and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to engage in academic advising, student mentoring, and supportive supervision of projects or clinical activities.
- Commitment to gender-sensitive, inclusive, and learner-centered pedagogical practices.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within academic teams and contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Interest in professional development, research, or scholarship in pharmacy practice or related areas is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant national and international standards for pharmacy education
