The Learning Centre at Douglas College is looking for a passionate Regular Probationary Faculty member. You will play a key role in coordinating the peer tutoring program while collaborating with diverse disciplines. This position is instrumental in fostering academic success for students in various programs including Commerce & Business and Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and enhance peer tutor training standards
• Train and mentor tutors in academic support techniques
• Work closely with course instructors to create workshops
• Provide individualized learning plans for struggling students
• Engage in continuous development of LC services
Requirements:
• Master’s degree or related field qualification
• Relevant experience in academic support centers
• Knowledge of peer-led learning concepts
• Ability to effectively use digital learning tools
• Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
