——job Summary
Cowessess Community Educational Centre (CCEC) is seeking a dedicated and dynamic
educator committed to delivering high-quality instruction while serving as a positive role model for students. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all Grade 6 subjects and contributing collaboratively as part of the CCEC team.
Qualifications
✓ A valid Class 4 Saskatchewan Education Teaching Certificate is required.
✓ A Bachelor of Education degree is considered a strong asset.
✓ Knowledge and understanding of Treaty Education and/or traditional Treaty teachings.
✓ Solid understanding of K-12 curriculum outcomes, whether local, provincial, or territorial.
✓ Familiarity with current literacy practices and instructional strategies across PreK to Grade 12.
✓ Strong working knowledge of assessment for learning principles and various assessment tools.
✓ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
✓ Highly competent in Microsoft Office programs (especially Word and Excel) as well as online learning
platforms.
✓ Ability to maintain an organized filing system, both physical and electronic.
✓ Understanding of First Nation governance structure and the First Nations education system.
✓ Ability to follow directions, work independently, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
✓ Highly organized, punctual, reliable, and capable of maintaining strict confidentiality.
