Key Responsibilities and Search Criteria

We are looking for a Secondary English Teacher who is ready to deliver results across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

  • Curriculum Delivery: Plan and execute lessons aligned with the National Curriculum and GCSE English specifications.
  • Data:Driven Progress: Use assessment data to bridge attainment gaps and support student growth.
  • Classroom Leadership: Maintain a focused, inclusive learning environment using effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Pastoral Care: Act as a Form Tutor, supporting the holistic well being of our students.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this English Teaching job, you must meet the following:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory for this role.
  • Degree: A BA/MA in English Literature, Language, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven history of teaching English in a UK secondary school setting.
  • Compliance: A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness for one) and a commitment to safeguarding.
