Division Curriculum and Student Support Coordinator
1 Full-Time Position | 2026–2027 School Year with Possibility of Extension
Lakeland Catholic School Division is seeking a dedicated Catholic educator to join the System Excellence Team as a Division Curriculum and Student Support Coordinator. This position supports curriculum implementation, professional learning, instructional practice, and student success across the division.
Start Date: August 24, 2026, with required summer training
Closing Date: May 4, 2026 at noon
The successful candidate will support one or more of the following areas: literacy, numeracy, Religion and PEW, French Immersion, First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education, English as an Additional Language, student success and wellness, and professional learning/instructional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and strengthen the division’s Catholic Christian identity across learning environments
- Provide consultation, professional learning, and instructional support to teachers and school leaders in curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Promote effective, research-informed pedagogical practices, including differentiation and meaningful use of educational technology
- Assist with the implementation of curriculum, common assessments, and division-wide learning priorities
- Collaborate with school and division leaders to support high-quality teaching and learning
- Analyze student data and support staff in responding with effective instructional practices
- Facilitate collaboration and capacity-building among teachers and school teams
- Support religious education and Christian family life programming, including retreats, celebrations, and faith-based learning opportunities
- Liaise with external educational partners and share relevant information with division staff
Qualifications
- Commitment to Catholic education
- Master Teacher designation
- Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
- Master’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred
- School or division leadership experience is an asset
- Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the identified areas
- Strong understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead professional learning
- Experience using data to support instructional decision-making
- Knowledge of current educational research and best practices
- Proficiency in English; French would be considered an asset
