The International Program Director serves as the academic and strategic leader for all international pathways within Einstein School System.
This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, consistency, and continuous development of international curricula, aligning them with global standards while adapting to the Vietnamese educational context.
The Director also plays a critical role in sustaining and advancing the school’s accreditation status with Cognia, embedding a culture of continuous improvement across all academic and operational practices.
As the academic “face of the school” for international education, the Director works closely with parents, partners, and internal stakeholders to strengthen program reputation and student outcomes.
Key Strakeholders: Students, Parents, Senior Leadership Team, Academic departments, Teachers and Support staff
1. Academic Leadership & Program Development
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of international programs (e.g. MOET+, integrated pathways, online learning platforms).
- Ensure alignment with international standards (e.g. Common Core, international benchmarks, accreditation frameworks).
- Develop clear curriculum frameworks, assessment systems, and progression pathways for students.
- Oversee academic rigor, consistency, and student performance across all international classes.
2. Teaching & Learning Excellence
- Monitor and evaluate teaching quality through observations, coaching, and professional development.
- Support teachers in delivering effective, student-centered instruction aligned with international pedagogy.
- Lead initiatives on differentiation, inquiry-based learning, and critical thinking development.
- Ensure consistency in lesson delivery, assessment practices, and student feedback.
3. Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Lead and manage a team of international and local teachers.
- Design and implement professional development programs for expatriate and bilingual teachers.
- Build a strong collaborative culture between international and local teaching teams.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of IP teachers.
4. Student Outcomes & Experience
- Monitor student progress, academic achievement, and engagement within international programs.
- Support pathways for high-achieving students (e.g. competitions, advanced tracks, university readiness).
- Ensure students develop global competencies: English proficiency, critical thinking, collaboration, and independence.
- Collaborate with counseling and leadership teams to guide student progression pathways.
5. Parent & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the main academic representative for international programs in meetings with parents.
- Communicate program structure, expectations, and student progress clearly and professionally.
- Support Admissions and Marketing in promoting the international program (events, presentations, school tours).
- Address parent concerns and provide academic guidance when needed.
6. Partnership & Program Development
- Liaise with international partners (curriculum providers, online platforms, external organizations).
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships to enhance program quality and global opportunities.
- Evaluate and improve external programs based on school feedback and student outcomes.
7. Operations & Systems Alignment
- Coordinate with Academic, Operations, and IT teams to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Oversee implementation and effective use of learning platforms (LMS, online systems).
- Ensure accuracy and alignment of assessment data, report cards, and academic records.
- Contribute to timetable planning and resource allocation for international programs.
8. Accreditation & Quality Assurance
- Lead and oversee the school’s accreditation process with Cognia, ensuring full compliance with all required standards.
- Act as the key liaison between the school and Cognia representatives for reviews, audits, and follow-up actions.
- Drive the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
- Ensure alignment of teaching, learning, and assessment practices with continuous improvement frameworks.
- Lead internal quality assurance systems, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Guide departments in preparing documentation, evidence portfolios, and self-assessment reports.
- Build staff capacity in understanding Cognia standards.
- Monitor and ensure implementation of post-accreditation recommendations.
9. Additional Responsibilities
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the BOD and Executive Leadership Team to support strategic priorities and ensure the highest standards of educational quality, student outcomes, and continuous school improvement.
