Join BCIT as a temporary full-time Assistant Instructor focusing on Hematology. This role involves teaching, preparing materials, and coordinating student experiences in the lab environment.
As part of BCIT’s School of Health Sciences, this position is designed for individuals with a deep understanding of Hematology. You will assist in curriculum development while preparing students for careers in medical laboratory science. The ability to lead workshops and assess student progress will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in curriculum and media development
• Prepare lab specimens and teaching resources
• Deliver hands-on instruction and demonstration
• Supervise student lab sessions and activities
• Maintain supply inventory for effective lab operation
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program
• Five years of relevant Hematology experience
• Current registration with CSMLS
• Strong oral and written English skills
• Proven ability to train and mentor others
