Position: Aquatics Leadership Instructor Fall 2026
Join the Town of Newmarket as an Aquatics Leadership Instructor for Fall 2026 to Summer 2027, engaging with the community while delivering quality leadership courses. Strong communication skills and a passion for aquatics are essential in this exciting role.
As part of the Recreation and Culture Team, you will plan and deliver safe and engaging leadership courses to candidates of all levels. Your responsibilities include managing class preparations, communicating with participants and instructors, and ensuring all health and safety paperwork is completed accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality leadership courses
• Communicate feedback and support progress for candidates
• Troubleshoot program issues with participants
• Liaise with programmers about program developments
• Maintain safety and organization in the program space
Requirements:
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
• Ability to work independently with good judgment
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
