A vibrant primary school in Reigate is seeking a dynamic and experienced Year 5 Teacher to join a dedicated team, either full:time or part:time, starting January 2025.
About The Role
You will be responsible for a class of 20 enthusiastic Year 5 students, leading their learning journey in a stimulating and engaging way. This role involves:
- Full Planning and Preparation: Developing and implementing creative, engaging, and differentiated lesson plans that meet the individual needs of each student.
- Leading Instruction: Providing high:quality instruction, using a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
- Creating a Positive Learning Environment: Fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment where students feel safe, respected, and challenged.
- Assessing and Monitoring Progress: Regularly assessing student learning, providing timely feedback, and adapting instruction to meet individual needs.
- Collaboration and Communication: Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure students receive the best possible support.
What Were Looking For
- Proven Teaching Experience: Significant experience teaching in a Year 5 or equivalent class in a primary school setting.
- Strong Classroom Management Skills: The ability to create and maintain a positive and productive learning environment, managing student behaviour effectively.
- Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning, with a strong commitment to student success.
- Differentiated Instruction: Expertise in designing and delivering differentiated instruction that meets the needs of diverse learners.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues, both written and verbally.
- Creative and Innovative: A willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches to teaching and learning.
Qualifications
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, etc.).
- Experience working with a diverse range of learners.
