Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum guidelines, including Montessori methods and literacy education strategies.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning, creativity, and positive behavior management.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support childhood development milestones, including social skills, motor skills, and early math concepts.
- Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, address individual needs, and support early intervention efforts when necessary.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently to ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing space for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Incorporate physical education activities and promote child welfare through attentive supervision and fostering inclusive play.
Skills
- Proven experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and curriculum development within early childhood settings.
- Strong understanding of toddler care, preschool experience, and special education principles.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices related to early intervention and behavior management.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with daycare regulations, private school standards, and Montessori teaching methods is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
