Your responsibility is to maintain momentum and ensure seamless operations. You'll guide students through transitions, foster participation in small-group settings, and provide encouragement when motivation flags. You won't deliver academic content, but your presence will be critical to the success of every session.

What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group activities
- Encouraging student participation and boosting morale through chat engagement, recognition, and one-on-one interactions
- Ensuring students remain focused, confident, and socially connected throughout their sessions
- Providing operational support to lead educators to maintain the smooth execution of workshop programming
- Serving as a community builder and consistent, supportive presence across bilingual learning tracks and extracurricular clubs

- Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
- Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
- Building curriculum or leading workshops independently
- Remaining passive—this role demands active involvement and sustained energy
Virtual Learning Assistant Key Responsibilities
Enable dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, organized, and motivated throughout each workshop experience.
Basic Requirements
- Willing to work 8am – 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
- At least 1 year of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth
- Educational background in US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) – must have attended school in one of these countries (current location can be anywhere)
- Strong communication skills and energizing, student-first presence with an eye for details
- Ready to start by the end of July
Nice-to-have Requirements
- Experience with online learning tools or youth enrichment programs
- Background in after-school programs, summer camps, or club leadership

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $20 USD/hour, which equates to $40,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
