Job Context:
Rupayan University, a newly established private, forward-looking institution within the Rupayan Group, is set to begin its academic and operational activities soon. The University aspires to become a center of excellence in higher education through research, innovation, and adherence to global academic standards.
To lead this transformative journey, Rupayan University seeks a distinguished, visionary academic leader to serve as Vice Chancellor. The VC will provide strategic leadership, uphold academic excellence, and guide the development of a dynamic, research-driven, and student-focused institution with strong national and international engagement.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in academic, administrative, and financial affairs.
- Ensure compliance with policies and standards set by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh and the Government of Bangladesh.
- Promote excellence in teaching, research, and innovation.
- Lead institutional planning, governance, and policy formulation.
- Oversee recruitment and development of faculty and staff.
- Strengthen quality assurance and accreditation processes.
- Develop national and international collaborations.
- Represent the university in academic and professional forums.
Educational Requirements
- PhD (Doctor of Philosophy)
- PhD degree from a recognized university.
- First Class (or equivalent CGPA) in both Honors and Master’s degrees from a recognized university.
Experience Requirements
- 30 to 35 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):University
Additional Requirements
- At least 10 years of teaching experience.
- At least 20 years of experience in research and academic administration.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Proven leadership experience in academic administration (Dean/Chairperson/Director or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of higher education governance and regulatory frameworks in Bangladesh.
- Must fulfill eligibility criteria as per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- High ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Experience in establishing or leading a university will be an added advantage.
