Role Description Tutors (Home Tuition) at Tutopiya provide hybrid (Online + In-Person), academic support to IGCSE/A Level/Singapore National Curriculum and IB students based in Singapore. This is a full time tutoring role focused on conducting one-on-one lessons, explaining concepts clearly, guiding students through practice questions, and preparing them for assessments and examinations.
Qualifications
- Tutor should be able to travel to the student's location to teach (Home Tuition) inside Singapore only, It can be a public library, a cafe, or the Student's home – THIS IS MUST
- Strong subject knowledge in IGCSE, A Level, Singapore National and/or IB curricula (e.g., Mathematics, Sciences, English, Humanities) and the ability to explain concepts clearly to school-age learners.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport, listen actively, and adapt explanations to different learning styles.
- Comfort with online teaching tools and technologies, including stable internet access, use of video conferencing platforms, and digital whiteboards or learning resources.
- Organizational and time-management abilities, such as planning lessons, keeping to schedules, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.
- Prior tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is an advantage, especially with IGCSE or IB students in Singapore or international school settings.
- Reliable, professional work ethic, including punctuality, responsiveness, and adherence to Tutopiya’s academic and conduct standards.
- Students or graduates from recognized institutions, particularly those pursuing or holding qualifications in Education or relevant subject areas, are encouraged to apply.
