Discovery Corner is seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role involves working closely with toddlers to provide educational experiences that promote early childhood learning and development.
Duties:
Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive atmosphere for all students.
Provide care for toddlers, including diapering, feeding, and supervising playtime.
Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
Skills
Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and facilitate learning.
Knowledge of childhood development principles to effectively educate young children.
Experience in toddler care, including diapering and feeding practices.
Familiarity with early childhood education methodologies and best practices.
Ability to work with children with disabilities, adapting lessons as necessary.
Previous experience in babysitting or daycare settings is advantageous.
Proficiency in first aid procedures to ensure the safety of all students.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
