Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Theatre Teacher role based in Pune City. The Theatre Teacher will plan and deliver engaging drama and performing arts lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Responsibilities include teaching acting techniques, movement, voice, and stagecraft; preparing students for performances, assemblies, and events; and fostering creativity, confidence, and collaboration among learners. The role involves designing and updating theatre-related curriculum and lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The Theatre Teacher will also coordinate with other educators, participate in staff meetings and school initiatives, and ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Drama and Performing Arts, with the ability to inspire and guide students in theatrical expression.
  • Demonstrated experience in Teaching and Teaching Acting, preferably with school-age learners.
  • Proficiency in Curriculum Development for theatre and performing arts programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are an advantage.
  • Ability to manage classrooms effectively, nurture diverse talents, and maintain an inclusive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with a commitment to student-centered teaching.
  • Experience directing school plays, productions, or drama clubs is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to participate in co-curricular activities, school events, and ongoing professional development.
