Role Description The Theater Art Teacher is a full-time, on-site role based in West Bandung Regency. This role is responsible for planning and delivering engaging theater arts lessons that integrate artistic skills with the school’s values and educational philosophy. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, developing and adapting theater and art curricula, teaching classes across appropriate grade levels, and guiding learners in acting, stagecraft, and performance skills. The teacher will direct or co-direct school productions, organize rehearsals, collaborate with other teachers and staff, and provide constructive feedback to support learners’ artistic and personal growth. Additional responsibilities include assessing learner progress, maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, communicating regularly with parents or guardians, and participating in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Teaching and Art Education, with the ability to engage diverse learners in theater and visual arts.
- Candidates should possess skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to design structured, goal-oriented theater and art programs.
- Candidates should possess skills in Painting and other visual art techniques that complement theater-related projects and stage design.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in Theater, Performing Arts, Art Education, or a related field are highly beneficial.
- Experience directing school plays or theater productions and working with children or adolescents in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills, with a commitment to a Biblical worldview and the school’s mission, are important.
