Role Description This is a full-time, on-site TGT Social Science role based at SRMPS in Lucknow. The educator will teach Social Science subjects to middle and secondary school classes, plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational philosophy, and assess student progress through classwork, assignments, and examinations. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and teaching aids, conducting interactive classroom activities, maintaining classroom discipline, and providing academic support to students during school hours and designated extra-help periods. The role also involves collaborating with colleagues, participating in school events and parent interactions, and contributing to co-curricular initiatives that promote holistic development.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong subject knowledge in Social Science and a solid foundation in broader Science and Education domains.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for clear classroom instruction, student engagement, and collaboration with parents and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to assess student performance, adapt teaching strategies, and interpret educational data effectively.
- Candidates should possess Research skills to update teaching content, integrate current events, and incorporate innovative pedagogical practices.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or in Social Science disciplines (History, Geography, Political Science, Economics) with B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Prior experience teaching Social Science at middle or secondary school level, preferably in a CBSE or similar curriculum environment.
- Ability to integrate technology into teaching, manage diverse classrooms, and support residential/day boarding students’ academic and personal development.
- Commitment to child-centric, value-based education and willingness to participate in school activities beyond classroom teaching.
