Job Title: TGT English Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the prescribed curriculum.
  • Teach grammar, literature, writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and spoken English.
  • Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and question papers.
  • Assess students through tests, projects, and classroom activities, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.
  • Encourage students to participate in debates, speeches, creative writing, and literary activities.
  • Use digital tools and interactive teaching methods to improve learning outcomes.
  • Maintain student attendance, academic records, and progress reports.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance.
  • Participate in staff meetings, school events, training programs, and other academic activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English.
  • B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) from a recognized institution.
  • CTET/TET qualification, where required by the school or recruitment rules.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Classroom management.
  • Lesson planning and curriculum implementation.
  • Student assessment and evaluation.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Classroom, or other educational technology.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor students.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of teaching experience in English at the secondary level.
