This role within the Faculty of Arts & Science commences on January 1, 2027, and runs through April 30, 2027. Candidates must have a master’s degree or J.D./LL.B. along with relevant experience working with Indigenous peoples in the context of criminal justice. You’ll play a crucial role in developing lessons around systemic barriers faced by Indigenous individuals, ensuring students grasp the complex interplay between identity and justice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver robust course content
• Engage students with historical and contemporary issues
• Assess and grade student work efficiently
• Provide regular office hours for academic support
• Gather and distribute appropriate course readings
Requirements:
• Minimum of a master’s degree, J.D./LL.B. required
• Proven experience with Indigenous legal contexts
• Prior university teaching experience preferred
• A Ph.D. is a strong asset
• In-depth knowledge of Gladue principles is required
