The Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at the University of Warwick intends to appoint a fixed-term Teaching Fellow from 1st October 2026 to 30th June 2027.

Our research is interdisciplinary and comparative, and we have particular strengths in American studies, eighteenth and nineteenth-century studies, environmentalism and ecocriticism, gender studies, the literary and cultural history of the medieval and early modern period, performance studies, poetry and poetics, and World Literature. About You

We seek an outstanding scholar who has experience of seminar teaching and lecturing at undergraduate level in medieval and early modern English literature. An ability to teach literature in Middle English is essential. An ability to teach widely across Level 4 (first-year) modules in English literature is welcome. You will have experience of supervising student assignments in literary studies at undergraduate level and will contribute to supporting student experience in the department.
