The Faculty of Physical Therapy invites applications for the following position, effective September 2026/ February 2027
The GIU is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Teaching Assistant to join our Physical Therapy faculty. As a Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to our students, aiding them in their journey to become skilled Physical Therapists.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with faculty members to develop instructional materials and resources for Physical Therapy courses.
• Assist in preparing and delivering lectures, laboratory sessions, and practical demonstrations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them grasp complex concepts and techniques.
• Conduct small group sessions and facilitate discussions to enhance student understanding and engagement.
• Assist in grading assignments, quizzes, and exams, providing constructive feedback to foster student growth.
• Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in Physical Therapy to bring relevant insights to the classroom.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Physical Therapy.
• Work experience as a physiotherapist.
• Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational role is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts.
• Proficiency in utilizing teaching aids and technology to enhance student learning.
• A passion for education and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
• Preferred Specialization:
- Biomechanics
- Basic Sciences in Physical Therapy.
- Physical therapy for surgery
- Physical therapy for neurology and neurosurgeries
- Physical therapy for cardiopulmonary
- Physical therapy for pediatrics
- Physical therapy for orthopedics and its surgeries
- Physical therapy for women’s health.
