Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Teaching Assistant role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Teaching Assistant will support lead educators in delivering EYFS-based lessons and activities, helping to create a stimulating, inclusive, and child-centered classroom environment. Daily tasks include assisting with lesson preparation, guiding children through learning and play activities, supporting social and emotional development, and maintaining classroom organization and safety. The role also involves communicating with colleagues and families as needed, monitoring children’s progress, and contributing to a positive, collaborative nursery culture. The Teaching Assistant will follow nursery policies and uphold high standards of care, hygiene, and child safeguarding.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide effective Assistant Teaching support in early years settings, including helping implement lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting professionally with children, families, and colleagues.
- Background or training in Education, ideally in early childhood or nursery-level teaching support.
- Basic Mathematics skills to assist with age-appropriate numeracy activities and learning tasks.
- Demonstrated experience Working With Children in a structured environment, with a focus on safety, inclusion, and positive behavior guidance.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Early Childhood Education or Nursery Teaching Assistance is highly beneficial.
- Patience, empathy, and cultural sensitivity, with the ability to work in a diverse, multilingual community.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining classroom materials, records, and routines.
- Ability to collaborate in a team, follow guidance from lead teachers, and adapt to changing classroom needs.
