We are looking for a compassionate, patient, and qualified Learning Support Specialist to work with students who require additional academic and developmental support.
Position
Teacher to Support Learning Disabilities
Location : Gajularamaram, Hyderabad ( 6 km from Kukatpally)
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess students with learning difficulties through observation and appropriate screening tools.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group intervention sessions.
- Support students with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Autism Spectrum Disorder (high-functioning), and other learning differences.
- Work closely with classroom teachers to recommend classroom accommodations and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records and documentation.
- Conduct parent meetings and provide guidance on supporting learning at home.
- Coordinate with counsellors, therapists, and external professionals whenever required.
- Assist the school in creating an inclusive learning environment aligned with NEP and CBSE guidelines.
- Conduct workshops for teachers on inclusive education and differentiated instruction.
Desired Qualifications
- B.Ed. in Special Education / M.Ed. in Special Education / Diploma in Special Education (RCI-recognized preferred).
- Qualification in Psychology, Child Development, or Inclusive Education will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with school-age children having learning disabilities.
- Familiarity with CBSE inclusive education practices and IEP documentation.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and counselling skills.
