Desired qualifications:
Minimum of three years in the role of Special
education
/student support teacher Experience in
collaborative
support to students in the effective implementation of formative assessment and differentiated instruction Positive school environment approaches to classroom management (eg. Restitution, Tribes, Positive Effective Behaviour Supports)
Experience with
Balanced Literacy Strategies Experience in modeling and/or leading professional learning communities Evidence/experience in developing and implementing individual

plans for students with exceptionalities in a
collaborative
context Teaching experience in an ESL environment Cross-cultural and/or northern teaching experience Planning skills (lesson, theme, unit, year, and student support plans)

Please note:
Subsidized housing is available but sharing may be required. The salary for certified teachers ranges from $83,643 prorated/annum. to $131,151 prorated/annum.
The Northern Allowance for Kugluktuk is $22,042 prorated/annum. The Department of
