Must hold a clear multiple subject credential or a clear single subject teaching credential. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- Bachelor degree from an accredited university.
- Possession of a valid California teaching credential.
- English Learner certification. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience as a teacher in a public-school setting for at least 3 years. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Voluntary or paid leadership experience.
- Experience in conducting professional development for educators.
- Experience in planning, implementing and / or managing educational programs.

Major Job Duties: Under the direction of the assigned administrator, the Teacher on Special Assignment designs, develops, coordinates, and sustains a comprehensive districtwide Work-Based Learning system aligned with district CTE pathways. The TOSA builds strategic partnerships with various community partners to expand equitable access to high-quality WBL experiences that prepare students for college, career, and lifelong success and collaborates with school and district personnel to integrate WBL into instruction, ensure alignment with current and emerging labor market needs, increase student participation in career-connected learning, and strengthen district systems that support accountability, continuous improvement, and funding requirements.
