Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing – Laveen, AZ

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time position is seeking a skilled Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education, serving approximately 21 students across nine campuses in Laveen, AZ. The caseload includes students from developmental preschool through 8th grade, requiring a dedicated professional experienced in providing direct educational services as well as supporting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) focused on hearing impairment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver an average of 120 minutes of direct instructional services monthly to students with hearing impairments.
• Assist in the development, review, and implementation of IEPs specifically related to hearing impairment services and goals.
• Provide resource and specialized instructional programs tailored to the needs of DHH students.
• Manage a caseload spread over multiple campuses, ensuring consistent support and communication.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
• Ability to work effectively with students ranging from preschool to middle school levels.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and legal requirements for special education.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage multiple campuses and student needs.

Location & Schedule:

• Position based in Laveen, AZ.
• Full-time commitment, 40 hours per week.
• Contract role, starting as soon as possible through May 21, 2026.
