Due to continued growth in student numbers, we wish to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Humanities.
The Basildon Academies are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful applicant will be subject to DBS and health checks.
Position Available:
September 2026 or sooner
The appointed candidate will begin their BA journey at the Lower Academy and will primarily teach History and Geography. Please specify your experience on your application form.

Our academy operates across two sites. The Lower Academy specialises in Key Stage 3, whereas the Upper Academy specialises in Key Stage 4 and 5.
Your responsibilities will include engaging, motivating and challenging students to make exceptional progress, teaching History and Geography and contributing to school development initiatives.
All staff take ownership of their own learning journey and are given opportunities to reflect on their practice, supporting others through Teacher Learning Communities.
We support staff advancement through the SSAT Embedding Formative Assessment CPD programme and NPQ courses, aiming to develop ITT to Headship trajectories.
All appointments are subject to safer recruitment requirements to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people, involving DBS checks and health clearances.
