Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and passionate Teacher of Business to join our dynamic international school in Phnom Penh. We are a fully accredited British international school delivering the Curriculum for England to a diverse K-12 student body.
We are seeking an educator who can inspire students in IGCSE, AS-Level, and A-Level Business Studies, fostering critical thinking, enterprise skills, and real-world business understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Business lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 (IGCSE, AS, A-Level).
- Prepare students for Cambridge or Pearson Edexcel external examinations.
- Use real-world case studies, data analysis, and business simulations to enhance learning.
- Track student progress, provide timely feedback, and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
- Contribute to curriculum development and resource creation.
- Participate in parents’ evenings, staff meetings, and professional development.
- Support extracurricular activities (e.g., school enterprise club, business competitions, or student-led projects).
Person Specification – Essential
Qualifications (either of the following):
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) from the UK or a recognised teaching qualification from an English-speaking country.
- If no PGCE/QTS: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Economics, Management, Marketing) PLUS proven, recent teaching experience in IGCSE, AS-Level, and A-Level Business.
Experience:
- Demonstrated success teaching Business Studies at IGCSE, AS, and A-Level (Cambridge or Edexcel).
- Strong understanding of British curriculum standards and assessment frameworks.
