A full-time opportunity for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) is available for the 2026-2027 school year in Fayetteville, NC. This contract position supports students across elementary, middle, and high school levels within a public school district setting. The role operates Monday through Friday, with a 37.5-hour workweek from August 10, 2026, through May 27, 2027.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction tailored to visually impaired students in compliance with district methods and standards
• Conducting ongoing student assessments using both formal and informal testing tools
• Preparing for and participating in relevant Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings
• Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborating with parents and multidisciplinary teams to support student success

Qualifications for this role:

• Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired credential is required
• Experience working with a diverse caseload that spans multiple grade levels
• Strong knowledge of teaching methodologies specific to visual impairments and compliance with educational policies and regulations
