Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our team for the school year in a school-based setting near Joliet. This is a full-time position offering a rewarding opportunity to support students with hearing impairments and help them achieve academic and personal success.

Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and educational support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs
- Promote student engagement, communication, and academic achievement
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for Deaf and Hard of Hearing services
- Experience working with school-aged students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners in educational settings
