About This Role
Join our team as an Assistant Teacher and play a vital role in supporting our Lead Teachers to deliver high-quality educational programs. You will work closely with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment.
What You'll Do
- Tutor students who need extra assistance, providing individualized support to help them reach their full potential.
- Support the Lead Teachers in the classroom, working together to create engaging lessons and activities that cater to different learning styles.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior and manage classroom dynamics.
- Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members to ensure a collaborative approach to student care and education.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with young children is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and meet all state licensing requirements.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required, although some college coursework and/or an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for helping children learn are essential qualities for success in this role.
- Montessori and/or STEAM training and experience are preferred but not required.
Nice To Haves
Education: A High School Diploma is a minimum requirement, but we prefer candidates with an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Experience: We are looking for individuals with at least 6 months of experience working in a classroom or childcare setting, but prior experience is not necessary for those with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Preferred: We welcome applications from candidates with Montessori and/or STEAM training and experience, although this is not a requirement.
