Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and be committed to promoting the social, emotional, and cognitive development of students. This role is essential in assisting teachers with classroom management, lesson implementation, and providing individualized support to students.
Responsibilities
Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development.
Provide care for toddlers and infants, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the day.
Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive learning environment.
Engage with students during activities, encouraging participation and fostering a love for learning.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher regarding individual needs or challenges.
Assist with special education needs by implementing tailored strategies to support diverse learners.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the classroom, ensuring all materials are readily available for use.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities as directed by the lead teacher.
Qualifications
Previous experience in toddler care, infant care, or early childhood education is preferred.
Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
Familiarity with first aid procedures; certification is a plus.
Experience working with children with special education needs is desirable.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive environment for all students.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on educating young children effectively.
A nurturing attitude with a genuine passion for working with children.
